Teen uses a $3 toy from his mom to help prevent a possible kidnapping

On a quiet afternoon in Alpena Township, Michigan, a thirteen-year-old boy named Owen Burns returned home from school, expecting a completely ordinary and uneventful end to his day at home.

He reportedly entered his bedroom shortly after arriving, preparing to relax and spend time playing video games on his PlayStation 3 as part of his usual after-school routine.
